Coffee Filter Ice Cream Cone...

I whipped this out in less than half an hour. Really easy and really cute:)

Two pink dyed coffee filters
Styrofoam ball to fit inside
Paper cone
Ribbon
Piece of wire for top hanger

Make paper cone (mine is a little larger than half a 5" circle). Sew filters together and gather up leaving room for the cone and ball. Glue cone to ball and then glue them to the inside of the filters. Attach a ribbon/bow to the top with a wire loop inserted and glued to the center of the top of ice cream. All done!

Another Bunny Basket...

Here's another basket I made using three different colors of coffee filters. I added a cute shabby bunny banner.

Coffee Filter Baskets...

I was sitting in my craft room, after making the Easter card in my last post, when I came up with this idea to make a basket out of coffee filters. I already had a stash of tea stained filters so I grabbed two of them and sewed around the edge leaving about a half inch allowance. I pulled the strings to gather the edges and the filters then formed a basket shape. I tied off the ends to secure it. Next I added the handle by poking a hole in the sides with scissors and then inserting my pipe cleaner ends. I added a punched flower to the outer side for added stability and glued it all in place. I cut a styrofoam ball in half and glued one half to the bottom of the inside. Next I sewed two equal lengths (about 30"length each) of green crepe paper streamers together and gathered it up. I then glued it to the styrofoam ball inside the basket. I cut out my bunny image (from The Graphics Fairy) inked the edges and glued scraps of green netting to the front and back and then glued it to the center of my basket. I then added tiny flowers, a bow and an Easter banner to finish it off:)

If you want to make one and have questions, please feel free to email me:)

Easter Egg Card...

Hello there, here's another Easter card I made today. I used half a paper doily inked and sprayed with Tattered Angels, to resemble a nest. Next, I cut egg shapes from different patterned papers and added glitter, ric rac and gems. I tied up a bow and added a scrap of netting and lace to the back and then tied it all together with a button and twig like string. I also painted the edge of the card with green acrylic paint before I adhered the background papers.
